The technology behind this multi-material fiber-based sensor technology was invented at MIT (Bayindir, Fink, et al., Nature, 2004).

Pelin Tören successfully defended her PhD thesis

She is currently working in the Joanneum Research in Weiz, Austria.

Mehmet BAYINDIR receives ERC Proof of Concept Grant

Abubakar Adamu won best poster award
October 5, 2015 in News /by mbayindirGraduate Student Abubakar Adamu, a researcher from National Nanotechnology Research Center (UNAM) won the 1st position in the 17th annual Photonics conference, held in Ankara University, Turkey. The workshop, which is one of its kind in Turkey, aimed at advancing technologies in Optics, Electro-Optics and Photonics in the country. This year’s event featured over 400 guests from all across the country.
Mehmet Kanik completed his PhD and moved to MIT
October 1, 2015 in News /by mbayindirOur group member Mehmet Kanik has defended his PhD thesis on nanostructured materials and devices for energy harvesting and sensing applications. He will continue to do research at the Research Laboratory of Electronics, MIT as a neuroscientist.
