Dr. Mehmet BAYINDIR has been awarded an ERC Proof of Concept grant to support commercialization of piezo nanosystems developed in ERC-funded research for smart skin, cardiac sensors, and energy harvesting applications.

The ERC Proof-of-Concept Grants are awarded to researchers who have previously received another ERC grant for their research. Dr. Bayindir had been awarded ERC consolidator grant, first ERC grant of Turkey, in 2012 on the realization of a novel nanofabrication technique based on iterative size reduction.
